The Voice of Portraits

We  have always operated our studio with the idea of ministering to others at every opportunity. This week our outreach has extended to sharing the emotional value of portraits with a presentation to the Rotary Club of Western Forsyth and on WDSL AM's morning radio program. 

But the icing on the Valentine cupcake was our visit to Davie County Senior Services this afternoon. Several months ago , they booked us as the speaker for their Valentine's Day Party.  Now, we love all seniors...from the vibrant, creative High School Seniors to the wiser, mature Senior Citizens. I also love to to talk (especially about photography) so we planned on taking our presentation, "A 1000 Words~Photography That Speaks To The Heart" to a dozen or so senior citizens, probably seated in folding chairs.  
Were we ever surprised when we arrived at their  beautiful facility and saw the room filling up with over 125 alert, active adults adorned in their finest red sweaters, vests, and jackets for their Valentine's party! Not only did they have the most modern amenities including an excellent AV system, a kitchen with a health inspection score of 102, an exercise room and more, they also had an events calendar that would make your head spin! There were art classes, woodworking, movie night, Tai Chi, scrapbooking, field trips, several clubs and other classes...whew! I LOVE what I do, but I'm looking forward to my golden years,  when I'll actually have time to participate!         -Anne

YOU are the Art in our 4th Annual Portrait Gallery Exhibit

This exhibit will showcase some of our best images and we’d like to include you!
The Portrait Gallery Exhibit will be on display March 5-April 1, 2010 at the Lewisville Soda Shoppe located at 6750 Shallowford Rd in Lewisville at The Oaks Shopping Center.
We will be publicizing this event as an art exhibit and YOU are the art!

Valentine's Day Is Coming

While Mom is Away, The Kids Shall Play!

Anne is currently attending the SYNC convention (Senior and Youth National Conference) in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She was lucky enough to leave before the 'BIG' snow of 2010 came in. We received about 8-10 inches this weekend, here in Clemmons. While she was gone the rest of the staff at Anne Grant Photography has been working hard! (a.k.a. playing around in that white stuff) It looks like it is going to be hanging around for a little while. Anne is on her way home and we decided to open up some appointments on Thursday and Friday (February 4-5) for you to come in and have your portraits in the snow. All of us North Carolina folks have beautiful winter coats and hats and never get to wear them. Why not wear them for a really different and cute portrait session. We could even have a snowball fight or even build a snowman. We have limited sessions available, so call today! We hope you and your families are enjoying your time off school and work to enjoy the blessings of winter!

Basketball at its Finest!

We added a new and unique large wall portrait to our studio, thanks to one of our wonderful clients, Brion & Rachel Daly. Their five year old son, Camdyn, as you can see, loves playing basketball and he also is Wake Forest's biggest fan! He can always be found running around town wearing different jersey numbers to represent the different Wake Forest Basketball Players. He also knows which position each player plays. The Daly's are very creative with their portraits and they decided to have this composite made into a headboard when they redecorated Camdyn's bedroom. (You guessed it, his room will be themed for the Deacons!) There are so many different ideas to do with portraits! It also looks great in our studio and we hope you get to stop by and see it very soon!
